May 4th, 2005I see the Dalai Lama
I had the opportunity to see his holiness the Dalai Lama speak yesterday on “universal responsibility”. I feel very fortunate for the experience. The event drew a diverse crowd of about 13,000 to the Pacific Coliseum. While serious topics were broached the event was kept upbeat by the lighthearted banter between the Dalai Lama and his good friend Desmond Tutu who introduced him.
While I’m by no means religious I identify with his message, finding it surprisingly closely aligned with my own beliefs. I’ve tried to organize my notes from the talk below.
